What is a bucky
Bucky is usually used in desktop or wall-mounted X-ray systems and maintains X-ray cassettes and grids. Bucky is a device found under the checking table, a drawer-like device that slides in cassette tapes and grids before taking X-rays.
The most common Bucky size grids are 171/4 x 187/8, 171/4 x 173/4 and 18x 18. Buckys can be used in medical and vertical offices.
Apart from its size, there is no special Bucky grid.
Reciprocating Bucky is a device that moves grids while taking X-rays. This action prevents the lead line from being seen on the image. The thinner the lead, the less movement required.
